New fare structure with effective from 26.12.2025

New Fare Structure (Effective Dec 26, 2025)

A revised fare structure has just come into effect this week. The changes are designed to balance operational costs while keeping daily commutes affordable.

Ø  No Change: Fares for Suburban services (local trains) and Monthly Season Tickets remain unchanged.

Ø  Ordinary Trains: For journeys over 215 km, fares have increased by 1 paisa per km.

Ø  Mail/Express Trains: Fares for both AC and Non-AC classes have increased by 2 paise per km.

Ø  Premium Trains: Basic fare adjustments also apply to Vande Bharat, Rajdhani, and Shatabdi services.
